Name change

[edit]

Why was the name of this article changed without discussion? The former title was the correct name of the show. Alanraywiki (talk) 23:58, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, "LA Auto show" is correct (see www.laautoshow.com). However, it should have been done with the usual move function, rather than copying/pasting it into a new article, leaving the history stranded in the old redirection article. --Vossanova o< 18:14, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, it had been Greater Los Angeles Auto Show for so many years that I did not realize the name had changed. Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 22:49, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming debuts

[edit]

Traditionally this article has included debuts and concept cars for the upcoming show as long as it is sourced properly. I do not think this violates WP:CRYSTAL, but as this is a change from the norm for this article I wanted to bring it here for discussion. I have restored the content but hidden it because I didn't want to lose the references regardless of the timing of when the content is shown. Orphaned references in LA Auto Show

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of LA Auto Show's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 22:09, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
